About the Client

Kelly is lovely, she's calm, she's thoughtful but incredibly professional and knowledgeable about her work. The business she was building was answering a gap that she fell into — burnout in the corporate world.
She wanted to work with corporates and individuals — so very different motivations.

For corporates it was showing them that caring about the wellbeing of their employees was good for staff turnover and lowering sickness rates. For individuals it was ensuring that they got that connection and attention they needed.

The challenge was how to create a brand that served these two audiences without alienating either.

Discovery

Kelly knew that branding was important, but not necessarily how. She had come onto one of my workshops about branding and realised that there was so much more to it than just a logo. And she wanted to get it right first time.

The breakthrough moment was that visually we could engage both audiences through colour and the visuals we created. Her logo works in both corporate and personal settings, her colours do the same.

Kelly needed to realise that this could work. Quite often there is the conversation of just working with one audience, but that's not always the case and it wasn't in Kelly's instance.

Design & Development

The colours we chose leant more towards the corporate side, however the tones of the colours we used were more calming and engaging whether you were in corporate or not. Kelly loved yellow, so we pulled in a really warm yellow that reflected her personality and the type of business she wanted to run.

For the corporates they are seeing a clean and clear brand — one that highlights professionalism, expertise and things that are needed to put budget behind. For the individuals the colours are warm and inviting, they feel calm so when you go on her website you instantly breathe out.

Result

Kelly is all over the place! Her confidence has grown as I'm seeing her a lot more on socials, doing talks and doing lives. Working with corporates and individuals and running her business her way.

The brand allowed her to run her business in her own way — not with people telling her what was the "right way" to do things. And that really shows through her content, she's not performing for anyone, she's being herself and that is magnetic.

There is not just one way to do branding, and there can be a balance between two different audiences, but it's the way you need to do it that is important. There is a fine balance in Kelly's brand that works.
